Does the escape game only take place online?
The gaming experience takes place entirely online. However, our digital Outdoor Escape Room also includes an outdoor aspect: Our app guides you and your team from the starting point in your city to the various clue points. So, lounging on the couch is not an option with us. ;)
After purchasing a ticket, you can start the game whenever you want. You are only bound by the opening hours of the bars for the Gastro Escape Game; otherwise, you are completely flexible. You not only control the operation via your mobile phone but also experience exciting puzzles and adventures.

How long does the Escape Game last?
This, of course, always depends entirely on your playing style. Basically, however, it can be said that a City Escape Game takes about 2 - 3 hours on average, with the pure walking time being a maximum of 50 minutes. Please note that the endpoint of the game can be up to 30 minutes walk from the starting point. For a Gastro Escape Game, you can expect 2 - 3 hours of gameplay, with a maximum walking time of 25 minutes.
Can I pause the escape game?
Yes, you can pause at any time and resume exactly where you left off. Perfect for a coffee or ice cream break.
If it rains, you can even interrupt the game and continue on another day.
Is the escape game suitable for families with children?
Families with their little detectives are also welcome at our Escape Games. There are also interactive games for the little ones where they can participate, but there will also be some puzzles where the parents will be solving the main challenges. Since the Gastro Escape Games take place in bars, we recommend our City Escape Games for families.
Since our City Escape Games take place outdoors and digitally, strollers, wagons, or similar are of course welcome! The paths you and your family will take are not only child-friendly but also conveniently located.

How long is my ticket valid for?
Your ticket is valid for one year from the date of purchase. You don't need a fixed date or time slot — just play whenever it suits you.

Don't worry, your data generated when using the app is safe with us! It is only stored temporarily to locate your movement during the game, to enable functionality, or is stored for analysis purposes and not shared with third parties. You can request the deletion of your data from us at any time: simply send us a message via our contact form or by email.

What do I need for an escape game?
You and your team need at least one smartphone on which the latest version of the "Escape This!" app can be downloaded. To start playing in the app, you must purchase a ticket online. With the ticket, you will receive a game code that allows you to start your adventure in the app. Using the app requires an internet connection and permission to access your motion data and location. Make sure to start with a fully charged phone battery or bring a power bank with you.
Which devices are supported?
The EscapeThis app runs on all common Apple and Android operating systems. Your device needs a stable internet connection and GPS.
What happens if I get stuck on a puzzle?
The app offers a tiered hint system: first a gentle tip, then a clearer hint, and as a last resort, the solution. This preserves the gaming experience without you giving up in frustration. There is also always a button to skip the puzzle.
